Abstract Elegant

American artist Robert Rauschenberg was an artist that definitely thought out of the box when it came to art...

His abstract expressionism technique combined with modern pop art, is not the type of art you would expect but surely one we can appreciate.

Rauschenberg loved combining art objects with everyday objects in his work, which is why he is so famous for always stating that his paintings relate "in the gap between art and life".

Rauschenberg was more than just a painter, he was a photographer, sculptor, designer and even a composer at one time. His work speaks volumes because he wasn't a one dimensional artist.

Rauschenberg incorporated everything that pertained to art.

"I think a painting is more like the real world if it's made out the real world" Rauschenberg
