CUBA 59

Steven Meisel's Cuba editorial in  Italian Vogue in 1989 with supermodel Linda Evangelista is by far one of my favorite layouts.

The beautiful bright colors mixed with sequined fabrics, Linda's sun kissed dewy skin and Cuba's urban lifestyle fill the backdrop to perfection...

Want to look like Linda ladies ??? Well here's how you do it...

Bronze up your bod, it's all about getting your skin to be glowy and olive in color.

Now to the ensemble a bright hued bikini crop top (turquoise, yellow or tangerine)   a high waisted pair of sequined shorts and a pair of gold strappy wedges...Let's not forget our accessories stick to gold hoops and gold bangles these pieces are key to your look.

Now your ready to paint the town red Cuban style...

MIAMI VICE

When Miami Vice came out in '85, the clothes had a popular influence on men's fashion. Using pastel colors reflecting Miami's art deco architecture.

Don Johnson's wardrobe consisted of Italian sports coats, fitted pastel tee shirts, linen pants and slip on's with no socks.

Designers like Armani, Versace and Hugo Boss were in charge of keeping Crockett & Tubbs looking cool...

You can update your Miami Vice style with a pair of rugged khakis or jeans.

Stars like Colin Farrell, Brad Pitt and Kanye West have all paid homage to the Miami Vice style.

I can feel it coming in the air tonight...

Killing Time

There are only two pieces everyone needs to invest in, their watch and  shoes....And lets not forget our handbags ladies...

Lets start with a a fabulous time piece...

The right watch can elevate any ensemble your wearing... A great classic time piece can be paired up with a worn out denim pant with a Alexander Wang tee shirt and combat boots, this look is effortless and cool...

Here are three elegant time pieces

Keep the style of your watch simple too much bling can distract and will not transcend to following seasons...

Time is of the essence...So your watch should be bold and make a statement when you arrive...

When Roger "El Matador" Huerta enters the octagon, his fighting style is graceful and strategic like a matador...

Huerta is the first MMA fighter to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated for his devastating front kicks and looks...

Everytime he enters the arena it is sure to be the fight of the night!

Huerta is a stylized fighter in and out of the arena...

Cotton Candy On A Rainy Day...

One of thee most genius artist , architect , designer and director Julian Schnabel is a true renaissance man...

Nestled in  Manhattan, Schnabel's Palazzo Chupi  a five unit condominium building was inspired by a northern Italian palazzo and is easy to spot because of it's cotton candy color...

There's an undoubted expansiveness to the building considering the 18 foot ceilings and baronial bathrooms with rough hewn fireplaces...

This is one building that has made a huge impression on me from the interior to the exterior and  it's palatial size is truly impeccable...
