Running with Bulls

Vogue Japan's March editorial "Kiss of the Matador" is by far one the best editorials done this year!

The styling of Anna Dello Russo is spot on, taking inspiration from bullfighters in Spain. The theme of the layout was done effortlessly. Of course having supermodel Bianca Balti had a great deal to do with it as well.

Each look had an elevated glam to it, with the access of gold jewels and the beautiful opulent matador bolero. The looks were a visionary delight...

Bianca is adorned in Gucci, Alexander McQueen and Miu Miu, just to name a few..

Bianca channels her inner matador to perfection in every shot, evoking a sultry fighter and making everyone who flips a page yearning for more.

Bloody Nails

The latest color trend for your tips this fall season is Oxblood! The deep red hues are so sexy...

Keep your nails short and square or long stiletto tipped, both styles look fab with this color.

Prabal Gurung had his models rock the runway with oxblood nails in a drip affect, which looked ultra cool.

Your pout will also need a bit of Oxblood. This shade looks great with a understated eye and a prominent lip with just the right shade of oxblood.

This fall its all about vamping up your look ladies...

Jewelled Goddess

Whats sexier than making an entrance with a beautiful headpiece or exotic jewelled accents on your tresses.

Headpieces have been on trend for a few seasons now and its definitely a statement piece for all your holiday galas that are to come.

The poster child of this look is Nicole Richie, her House of Harlow line has some amazing headpieces that are not too bold.

I also adore having beautiful textured gold jewels on my hair, especially with a fish scale braid. This gives a more ethnic and exotic flair to your look.

Both styles of hair jewels are extremely flattering and the perfect accessory for your beautiful locks ladies...

Untouchable Taste

Lapo Elkann is a man of style plain and simple...

Lapo Elkann is a New York born Italian entrepreneur, but besides his business ventures his impeccable taste is what has created most of the buzz.

Gentlemen take note, this is how great style is done. We can tell style is something that comes easily to Elkann, simply by the way he puts his looks together. Every single ensemble is done organically nothing is forced.

From his cream double breasted blazers to his classic pocket scarfs which are a must in most of his looks, Elkann sticks to pieces that are versatile.

Another take away is the cut of his suits, their slim nothing is over sized. All of his pieces are fitted, accentuating his masculine frame.

Here is a man with a style that is truly untouchable..

My Funny Valentine

Jazz great Chet Baker had James dean looks and chops like Sinatra...

Born on December 23, 1929 in Yale, Oklahoma. His career catapulted with his hit  "My Funny Valentine", playing both jazz trumpet and vocals.

The tenderness in his voice would poor out in every tune he would sing, he had women falling in love with him all over.

With his unmistakable voice, Chet toured throughout Europe and many say some of his best work was from 1986-1987.

Right around the same period Bruce Weber was doing a documentary on Baker. The film was based on Baker's turbulent life  and career.

Unfortunately, Chet plunged to his death in 1988 after falling from his hotel window in Amsterdam. Leaving the world of jazz, Chet Baker is still recognized by many greats in the music industry.

Keep it Handy

Hand chains have been one of my favorite jewelry pieces lately. Either dainty or bold and dramatic, both options look great.

Hand chains look best when they are textured gold, this gives it a more vintage look which we all adore.

Designers like Rachel Roy and  TOPSHOP carry a great selection of hand chains. However, when wearing a hand chain that is bold stay away from any other statement piece jewelry, this can cause an overload of statement pieces.

If you haven't already purchased one, well you must. This is one accessory that is a must in your case of jewels.

Clockwork Orange

Stanley Kubrick's film Clockwork Orange made major news when it first hit theaters in  1971.The wardrobe of the movie was quiet distinct as well.

The rambunctious characters referred to as the Droogs, which were dressed in off white attire. The wardrobe consisted of  slim white pants, white suspenders and of course let's not forget the black derby hats.

Costume designer Milena Canonero created a very specific look for the movie, influenced by the punk era in London.

Clockwork Orange has created a cult following. Even today people are imitating  Alex and Dim two of the main characters attire.

One my favorite editorials is the spread  L'UOMO Vogue did, depicting specific scenes from the movie. This spread gives us a high fashion look to the world of the Droogs...

HONEYCOMB

Sarah Burton's Spring/Summer 2013 collection literally had my heart skip a beat! I am in love with every single piece that hit the runway.

Inspired by bees this season, the models strutted the runway with gold tapestry fabrics, tortoise shelled corsets, honeycomb hats and honeycomb prints.

The collection was very dramatic, each look that hit the runway was full of embellishments from head to toe. The attention to detail was astounding.

Another theme of the collection was the fitted bodices, which is extremely flattering for every shape. I loved all the cage like skirts, tortoise accessories and the trend of the moment the peplums.

The collection had a very regal feel to it. Sarah Burton's understanding of the female form was evident in her collection and it is truly one of my favs this season.

YOHJI

What is there that hasn't been said about Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto besides just applauding him for his work.

The fashion world was introduced to Yamamoto in 1981, launching his line.

Sticking to a color palette that is dark. His collections are full of  charcoal tones and very few splashes of color. His designs are full of drapery, the models strut the runway like visions of abstract art.

Some of his collaborations include Hermes, Mikimoto, Adidas Y-3 and artists such as Elton John.

We can all agree that Mr. Yamamoto's is one of the most influential designers of our time. Always ahead of the curve, Yamamoto sticks to a design aesthetic that is for the avant garde at heart.

Fashion Director of Barneys New York, Julie Gilhart couldn't have said any better about Mr. Yamamoto's influence "Probably the only designer you could name who has 60-year-olds who think he is incredible and 17-year-olds who think he's way  cool."

BOND

The man of all traits agent 007 is smooth, charming and a lady killer. After 23 Bond movies to date, James Bond epitomizes the man of style. Every man's guide to looking flawless should be James Bond.

From the fitted tuxedo suits, cream blazers and beautiful silk bow ties, Bond is pure perfection on screen.

In the latest Bond movie SkyFall, Daniel Craig is meticulously dressed in Tom Ford. Costume Designer Jany Temime went for a retro vibe with the wardrobe. Sticking to classic skinny ties and tailored suits that fit his silhouette in all the right angles.

Men all over the world for the past 50 years have aspired to look like him and emulated his style. James Bond is a true fashion icon.
