HONEYCOMB

Sarah Burton's Spring/Summer 2013 collection literally had my heart skip a beat! I am in love with every single piece that hit the runway.

Inspired by bees this season, the models strutted the runway with gold tapestry fabrics, tortoise shelled corsets, honeycomb hats and honeycomb prints.

The collection was very dramatic, each look that hit the runway was full of embellishments from head to toe. The attention to detail was astounding.

Another theme of the collection was the fitted bodices, which is extremely flattering for every shape. I loved all the cage like skirts, tortoise accessories and the trend of the moment the peplums.

The collection had a very regal feel to it. Sarah Burton's understanding of the female form was evident in her collection and it is truly one of my favs this season.

YOHJI

What is there that hasn't been said about Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto besides just applauding him for his work.

The fashion world was introduced to Yamamoto in 1981, launching his line.

Sticking to a color palette that is dark. His collections are full of  charcoal tones and very few splashes of color. His designs are full of drapery, the models strut the runway like visions of abstract art.

Some of his collaborations include Hermes, Mikimoto, Adidas Y-3 and artists such as Elton John.

We can all agree that Mr. Yamamoto's is one of the most influential designers of our time. Always ahead of the curve, Yamamoto sticks to a design aesthetic that is for the avant garde at heart.

Fashion Director of Barneys New York, Julie Gilhart couldn't have said any better about Mr. Yamamoto's influence "Probably the only designer you could name who has 60-year-olds who think he is incredible and 17-year-olds who think he's way  cool."

BOND

The man of all traits agent 007 is smooth, charming and a lady killer. After 23 Bond movies to date, James Bond epitomizes the man of style. Every man's guide to looking flawless should be James Bond.

From the fitted tuxedo suits, cream blazers and beautiful silk bow ties, Bond is pure perfection on screen.

In the latest Bond movie SkyFall, Daniel Craig is meticulously dressed in Tom Ford. Costume Designer Jany Temime went for a retro vibe with the wardrobe. Sticking to classic skinny ties and tailored suits that fit his silhouette in all the right angles.

Men all over the world for the past 50 years have aspired to look like him and emulated his style. James Bond is a true fashion icon.

Gable

Clark Gable was the total package back in the day, his movie star looks and on screen presence was mesmerizing. Known as the first Hollywood superstar, he had women swooning over him everywhere.

His trademark look was to always  be dressed like a true gentleman. Well fitted three piece suits with over sized shoulders and silk ascot ties.

He was definitely a man's man, his signature slick back hair and perfectly groomed mustache were a Clark staple.

He was known as the "King of Hollywood" and his style fit his image perfectly...

He influenced men's fashion all over the world and demonstrated what a southern gentlemen should look like...

All The Presidents Men

Besides running the country, a president's style also takes great notice.

When I think of presidents with great style and poise there are few that come to mind. President Obama of course, JFK, Nicolas Sarkozy and Hamid Karzai.

Each president brings their own flair to their look. President Obama oozes understated chic, sticking well fitted power suits. JFK was known for his movie star looks and old hollywood style.

President Sarkozy always looks dapper in his well fitted suits and sticking to solid dark tones.

While President Hamid Karzai is rarely seen without his Afghan Chapan coat and his karakul hat. Once called the chicest man alive by Tom Ford, President Karzai has a style all his own.

Besides being men of power, they are and were men of style...

Delfin

Spanish designer David Delfin gave every day wardrobe basics a new edge on his 10th anniversary.

The Spring/Summer 2013 collection titled "Nowadays" was a combination of vintage flair with a modern edge. The knee length pencil skirts, peek a boo sheer pleated skirts and zipper accented jumpsuits were to die for.

The collection consisted of various shades of red, pops of charcoal, navy blue and white. The pieces were classic in design but added modern touches by mixing a structured color blocked handbag.

What I loved most about Delfin's collection was that everything was consistent. From beginning to the end, you are able to mix all the pieces effortlessly. The models looked like perfection with their cherry lips and sky high Louboutins...

Palazzo

The palazzo pant is one of those styles of trousers that you can pretty much rock at any age... It's an ageless look.

Some of my favorite styles are the floral or a solid neutral cream color.

The look can be dressed either elegant  and refined or dress it down with a boho flair.

With a neutral hued palazzo pant mix in a bright coral blazer, this will give it a modern and chic edge to your look.

This style of trouser is perfect for the fall as well, since summer is officially over.  Now it's time we think of all the trends we can transcend into the fall and this is one that will.
